The day started with intermittent shower. Though the weather was gloomy, it didn’t dampen our spirit at all! Most of us didn’t bring umbrella, so…
We all covered ourselves in the cute plastic cover called PONCHO.
After a fairly long session of walking, we finally reached our destination, MINDS EDC! Cheer!! But as it was drizzling, we did not manage to take a photo of the building nor the address, sad… =(
Once inside, we were welcomed by the Head of the volunteer committee, Mr Charles Sng. We were redirected to level 4 for a quick briefing of our duty that day. After the short briefing, we were separated to different area, one: Sport, two: the Art section and three: which was to go purchase things.
Since I went to purchase things together with Leonard, Fabian and Linda (our Cyriva Advisor), therefore I could only touch on the happening at that period of time. We went to the Red Hill Market to purchase bread and fruit for the members.
looks yummy? HANDS OFF, NOT FOR YOU!!
During that period, we scattered and chatted with the members and of course,
PHOTO TAKING.
Our Interaction with the members and other volunteers.
After eating, we washed up and together took part in the 3R Game*
(Recycle, Reuse & Reduce)
The objective was to take all the things and put them into the recycling bins, there were 3 bins which consisted of Paper, for paper of course, Plastic and Others, for items that cannot be recycled. We were split into 2 teams. And well my team won, YAY!
But even so, we cheer for it other =]
Then there was the second catch to the game, after placing them into different bins, each team was given one bin of material, which is either Plastic or Paper. And we were required to construct something we like.
After Constructing, for the team using Plastic, a plane was created and for the Paper user, a Train was created and both teams send out members to give a brief explanation on the model.
After all the constructing, chatting, joking and of course Photo Taking, we embraced on a Frisbee match. Let’s not talk much, as photo speaks a thousand* (maybe more*?!) words.

One sentence to summarise all these;
"Our presence brought out their smiles but it was their smiles that made our gloomy day into a bright and sunny summer day!"
