Day 2 started off with a hearty breakfast, with a whole day filled with high adrenaline activities ahead of the campers.
Adventure Learning Centre, ‘The Maze’
At 9am, the teams headed off to the Adventure Learning Centre (ALC) to embark on an experience that they would never forget. Designed to challenge every participant both mentally and physically, ‘The Maze’ lives up to its name as anyone that progresses through its dark tunnels will undergo mixed emotions at every twist and turn.
Everyone was in awe and amazement. Through the obstacles that they had encountered in their quest to concur ‘The Maze’, the experience gained was certainly worth every moment of it.
Multi-Level Captain’s Ball
Ever participated in a game of Captain’s Ball? How about playing with four teams instead of the usual two? This is a game of setting the priorities right and understanding the importance of decision-making.
Four balls of different sizes and a Frisbee were available during play for different score points.
By the end of 30mins, all 5 balls were in play and the mad rush for glory was evident for all to see. It was heart-warming to see that the players adopted the idea of fair play in the heat of battle. Team 3 won by a mere margin of 3 points.
Water Games
Next in the line-up were the highly anticipated water activities. Team 2 demonstrated their cohesiveness in ‘Get the Bucket’ and completed it within a record time of 53 seconds.
In ‘Water Protection’, the teams set up their protective walls to shelter their members from the ‘water bombs’ that were going to be hurled at them. Nevertheless, there was absolutely no way anyone was going to get away without getting wet. At the end of the games, everyone trudged back to Agora Hall for a change of clothes before dinner.
NIght walk
The Night Walk in Admiralty Park was a route of approximately 600m to test everyone’s wits, confidence and also courage.
Quite a number of the participants courageously overcame their fears of the dark and persevered throughout the whole route without the aid of torch light.
Camp fire
The last highlight for the day was our very own man-made ‘campfire’ in Agora hall. Every team presented their cheers and skits, followed by mass cheering which lighted up the whole atmosphere and bond SEG as one.
