Singapore Robotic Games 2010 was held on Jan 26th – Jan 28th 2010 at Agora Hall 1, where we have witnessed the robots from five polytechnics (NP, NYP, RP, SP and TP), NUS, NTU and Institute of Technical Education, teams from India, Indonesia and from Malaysia to compete in 17 different categories. RP had participated in 6 categories (i) Autonomous Underwater Robot (ii) RC underwater Robot (iii) Autonomous Robot Sumo (iv) RC Robot Sumo (v) Intelligent Robot (vi) Humanoid robot. We had secured 6 medals this year, the medals summary is shown below.
This year we have performed exceedingly well in all the categories, especially in underwater robotic competition and intelligent robot competition. In underwater robotics we were well ahead of all other competitors. We are the only team could able to accomplish the tasks autonomously. Our nearest competitor is from NYP. In Intelligent robot competition we were placed at 3rd ,4th ,5th ,6th and 8th . All our robots completed the tasks and acquired the maximum points of 76. This category has seen a very tough competition but at the end we were awarded with bronze. Our robotics group would like to thank Dr. Wang Jiango (Director, SEG), Mr. Tan Heap Jui (ADSEG, Technology Development) for their constant support and encouragement.
