SEG DMNT Study Trip to Seoul, South Korea

We had successfully organized a Student Overseas Study trip for a group of 24 SEG students (majority from DMNT) to Seoul, South Korea from 1st October to 6th October 2012.

During the SOT, we were hosted by companies and research institutes like Samsung, KIA motors and Nano Research Center. The students get to see for themselves applications of what they have learnt in RP. At Samsung and KIA, students get a closer view of latest technology used. At Nano Research Center, through the interactions with the researchers, they were able to able to understand more of the advancement of nanotechnology.

Besides companies and research institutes, they also visited Kwacheon Science Museum, Seoul National Museum, Robot Park and Seoul Techno Park. During the visits, they get the opportunities to see the evolution of science and technology. The students enjoyed the visits as they get to learn more than just within the classrooms.

And of course, the trip cannot be completed with visiting the Gyeongbokgung Palace, visiting the Folk Museum, wearing the traditional Korean wear, Hanboks and a hands-on chance of making their own kimchi!
