PMI Singapore Regional Symposium 2012 hosted by Project Management Institute, Singapore Chapter (SPMI) was held from 4th-5th October 2012 at Marina Bay Sand (MBS). The Guest-of-Honor (GOH) for the event is Mr. Michael Palmer, Speaker of Parliament and MP for Punggol East SMC. Over the two days, there were many interesting sharing of project management (PM) topics from renowned and heavy-weight speakers from the industry. The two-day symposium was attended by more than 850 delegates (project management professionals and managers) and the event is a huge success.
Twelve (12) students from Republic Polytechnic (School of Engineering) The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Society (LSCMS) IG and the Operations-Project-Skills (Ops) Programme helped out on both days at PMI Singapore Regional Symposium 2012.
Overall, this has been an eye-opening and memorable experience for all the participating students. The SPMI board is impressed with RP students’ “CAN-DO “spirit and positive attitudes.
Once again, we would like to thank Mr. Umesh Ursekar (President, SPMI), Mr. Tan Seng Chong (Vice-President, SPMI), Mr. See Chim Hock (Vice-President, SPMI), Mr. Tim Gorter (Organizing Chair for SPMI Symposium 2012), as well as other SPMI board members, for the opportunity given to be directly involved in this event.
