A group of 24 students were brought to Perth, Australia from 9th – 14th September 2012 for a “Renewable Energy Learning Enrichment and Experience” trip. This trip is in response to the invite by Faculty of Science & Engineering, Curtin University.

The activities of this trip were divided into 2 categories: Educational and Industrial. Educational activities were mainly held in the Brently Campus of Curtin Univeristy where students get to experience Australian university life. To start off, the vice chancellor for the Faculty of Science& Engineering welcome us with an opening address, following by some of the management staff from the university. Following that, the students had a tour of the university campus led by the student ambassadors. Within 2 days, the students attended a 2-hour lecture and visited the Power and Machine Laboratory, Power Systems Simulation Laboratory and Green Electrical Energy Park.

During the last day of the visit, there was a BBQ cum networking session arranged where RP students and Curtin University students get to interact and understand more about studying in the university.
